We’d planned to take Michael to his new school on his first day of first grade but that was Wednesday, August 8, and Sean had other plans! So grandma took Michael to school and took a couple of pics of him that morning.

Our precious little man hasn’t had an easy start. Little babies have a difficult time with IVs in their tiny veins. I’ve walked past this sign in the St. Lukes NICU many times each day and never looked at it. I stopped and read it and I was shaken–completely hammered with emotions. Our family is so lucky Sean is with us.
